How To Keep Apples From Turning Brown
The sliced apples will oxidize and turn brown pretty quickly. No one wants brown apples even if they are covered with caramel, chocolate, and candy. To slow the oxidation, squeeze some lemon all over the apples as you cut them. Over time the apples will turn brown—there is no stopping it—so if you plan to serve these at a party, we recommend waiting until you’re ready to serve before cutting the apples. Caramel apple nachos take very little time to assemble and are so fun—ask your kids or a guest to help!
Other Topping Ideas
There are so many toppings you can sprinkle on top of the apples. Crunchy, salty, or sweet toppings are ideal—add as many or as little as you want. Here are some ideas:

Any leftovers should be stored in the fridge for a day or two. The apples will turn brown and some of the toppings may soften, so these are best eaten right away. Did you love the recipe? Leave us stars below!
